The Arkansas State Bowl features a Mallard duck flying over a lake. Accompanying the mallard is a diamond and a rice stalk. The diamond represents the Crater of Diamonds State Park whose mine is the oldest diamond mine in North America. The rice stalk represents the time period when thousands of acres were converted to rice cultivation. At this time, Arkansas became the leading producer of rice in the U.S.
